  45. Jeff,
  46.     I suspect it's not Kermit the program at fault but rather the
  47. modem initialization string used to initiate calls. That's a guess. If
  48. you use such strings via the dialer scripts please have a look at the
  49. elements sent for your modem, compare them with what the modem's manual
  50. says, and maybe one will stand out as suspicious.
